TITLE: Children’s Clerk
REPORTS TO: Children’s Department Manager
WORK SCHEDULE: Part-time: 24 hours a week. Schedule to be determined by the Children’s Manager and the needs of the position. Nights and weekends may be necessary.
OPEN: Position open until filled
SUMMARY: Serve customers in the Children’s Department by checking out and shelving materials. Help children find materials and use computers. Assist staff in preparing program materials, and in presenting programs. Supervise patrons, and maintain the department especially the Early Literacy Area.
QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma, experience with children, knowledge of computers. Library experience preferred.
