Frankfort Community Public Library children’s department has a lot of great programs for children from birth to grade 5. These programs are a great way to meet others and for children to have fun!
Friday mornings from 9:30-10:00 am we have a Lapsit program which features stories, songs, playtime and more for our youngest patrons from birth to 18 months. Parents bring your babies and have some fun. Parents must stay with the children during the Lapsit.
Tuesdays at 6 pm or Wednesdays at 10:15-10:45 or 11:15-11:45 for ages 18 months to 36 months we have a Toddler Time program with songs, stories, a craft and snack. Parents bring your toddlers and let them play and exercise their creative minds. Parents must stay with the children during Toddler Time.
Wednesdays at 10-11 am and Thursdays at 10:30-11:30 am or 6-7 pm we have Story Hour which is for children ages 3 through Kindergarten. Kids will have fun listening to stories, doing crafts, and Fingerplays. Let’s not forget that the kids will have playtime and a snack.

For school age children we have our School Age Specials and our School Age Craft with Miss Gina! The School Age Special is the first Wednesday of every month from 5-6pm and that includes stories and a craft. The School Age special is the third Wednesday of every month from 5-6 pm and is filled with an hour of fun, creative crafting.
Take a break from the busy school day and homework and bring the kids to come have some fun and be creative!
The children’s department has a special program coming this Thursday, February 1 from 6-7 pm. Read, Play, Grow is a program designed for families with children from 18 months to Kindergarten. The theme is Fairy Tales! We will be reading stories, and singing songs related to fairy tales. There will be various fairy tale related activity stations set up for the children to play and learn. There will be things like decorating crowns, building a bridge, and a race to name a few! Bring the family for an hour of fun and learning! Younger siblings are welcome as well.
