Friends Concert Series Tickets go on Sale Monday



The 25th year for the concert series will kick off on November 18 at 7:30 p.m. The concert will feature Matthew Ball, also known as The Boogie Woogie Kid is an attorney turned musician with now over 3.8 million views! A nationally touring act of piano virtuosity, song, and family fun, Matthew presents an upbeat program of piano Boogie-n-Blues, Jazz & Rags with arrangements of classic American songs like Ain't Misbehavin, When the Saints Go Marchin In, Over the Rainbow, Basin Street Blues, Bumble Boogie, The Entertainer, Glory of Love, and more, with a dash of originals and song too! Jazz music from the Swing-dancin' era of the 20's, 30's & 40's, Matthew's music is an inspiring event of toe-tapping piano athleticism and original song that captures the spirit, fun, and tradition of a celebrated American piano heritage.


The second concert will be on January 20, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. and will star The Big Swing Band. You will want to get out of your seat and dance along to this band. This is a full sized swing band, bringing back memories from yesteryear.


The third and final concert of the series will be the Will Scott Trio and they will perform on March 10, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. Their music can be described as Soul-Americana & Hill Country Blues. Will Scott is known for his distinctive voice, original roots songwriting, and guitar stylings. Blending blues and Americana with a dash of rock and outlaw country, his soulful, live performances, and his acclaimed recordings have captivated crowds in the US and Europe for over twenty years. After many exciting and successful years based in New York, Scott moved his home base to his native hometown of Indianapolis, IN, in 2015. He performs regularly in the Midwest, on the East Coast, and on tour.


Series tickets will go on sale October 23 and will be priced at $30 for all three concerts. Individual tickets will go on sale October 30 and will be priced at $12 apiece, the season tickets will still be available to purchase up to the day of the first concert.
