Children's Art Enrichment
Learn what it's like to be a part of the 37th Annual Friends Fine Art Exhibition and Sale that will occur November 10-12. The class is on October 14 from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. This class is free, but space is limited, sign up at myfcpl.org/calendar. This class is for children in grades 3rd-8th, contact Jamie at email@example.com for special consideration. Your child will create a canvas painting that they can display and sell in the exhibit. The painting will be 9X12 and done with acrylics. All levels of talent are welcomed.
Angela Barnes will be your instructor. She is an art teacher at Suncrest Elemenary School. Angela has taught a painting class the last three summers at the Purdue Learning Network. She attended University of Evansville where she received her undergraduate degree in Fine arts. Angela went on to get her teaching license through Indiana Wesleyan and Purdue University.
The very talented Christina Hollering will be the instructor for a 3-hour printmaking class. The class will be on October 28 from 1-4. She will be instructing you on the linocut technique. Linocut is a printmaking technique, a variant of woodcut in which a sheet of linoleum (sometimes mounted on a wooden block) is used for a relief surface. The actual printing can be done by hand or with a printing press. The cost of the class is $10, due the day of the class. All supplies will be provided. Space is limited so sign up today.
