Frankfort and Clinton County serves approximately 30,000 patrons in central Indiana. It is located about 25 miles from both West Lafayette (home of Purdue University), 45 miles from Indianapolis and is about a two-hour drive from Chicago. TITLE: Marketing Specialist

WORK SCHEDULE: Part-time, 32 hours a week. 

SUMMARY: Maintain the library’s brand and market library programs and services through a variety of means, including print, Internet and digital signage.  Oversee strategic communication for the library.  Assist the administrative group as needed.

WAGE: $14.00/hour 

QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma. Associate degree or some undergraduate coursework preferred but not required. Experience with strategic communication and social media. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office software to include Publisher. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite preferred but not required. Must be public service oriented, have good customer service skills, and good attention to details.

TITLE: Genealogy Specialist

WORK SCHEDULE: Part-time, 32 hours a week. Some nights and weekends required.

SUMMARY: Assist with genealogical and historical projects.  Research local history and genealogy on microfilm and in the library’s court documents.  Assist with the preservation of materials and complete other clerical tasks.  Provide quality service to the patrons of the Frankfort Community Public Library in the genealogy area and information desk as needed.

WAGE: $14.00/hour 

QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent.  Knowledge of basics of genealogical research.  Familiarity with online genealogical programs.  Previous library experience is helpful, but not required.  Must be physically able to move book carts, shelve books on both high and low shelves.

TITLE: Library Page

WORK SCHEDULE: Part-time: 8-12 hours a week. Nights and weekends required.

SUMMARY: Shelving materials throughout the main library. Help patrons find materials and use computers. Assist staff in preparing program materials.

WAGE: $10.00/hour 

QUALIFICATIONS: Must be able to lift 20 pounds, be able to bend down to lower shelves and reach up to upper shelves.  Also must be able to push a cart full of books.  Will need to pass a shelf reading test.  Knowledge of the Dewey decimal system is helpful.

TITLE: Harry’s Coffee Shop Attendant

WORK SCHEDULE: Part-time: 20 hours a week. Four Evenings a week and weekends as needed for special events.

SUMMARY: Serve customers in Harry’s Coffee Shop at the Frankfort Library.

WAGE: $10.00/hour 

QUALIFICATIONS: Experience with customer service and retail preferred.

TITLE:  Public Services Clerk

WORK SCHEDULE: Part-time: 24 hours a week. Some evenings and weekends required.

SUMMARY: The Public Services Clerk will assist library patrons and provide quality library service to the patrons of the Frankfort Community Public Library.

WAGE: $11.00/hour 

QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent. Must have a basic understanding of most technology. Fluency in Spanish highly preferred. Must be public service oriented, have good customer service skills, and good attention to details.
