Frankfort and Clinton County serves approximately 30,000 patrons in central Indiana. It is located about 25 miles from both West Lafayette (home of Purdue University), 45 miles from Indianapolis and is about a two-hour drive from Chicago. TITLE: Circulation Clerk

WORK SCHEDULE: Part-time, 24 hours a week. Nights and weekends as scheduled.

SUMMARY: : The Circulation Clerk will assist patrons at the main circulation desk. This includes checking materials in and out, directing telephone calls, and registering patrons for library cards as well as shelving books in the adult library.

QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous library experience is helpful, but not required.

TITLE: Adult Services Clerk

WORK SCHEDULE: Part-time, 24 hours a week. Nights and weekends as scheduled.

SUMMARY: : The Adult Services Clerk will assist patrons at the Adult Services desk and the surrounding department. This position entails multiple responsibilities including helping patrons with  basic computer assistance, genealogical research, and reference questions. Clerks will also be expected to assist in processing Inter-library loans, assisting in weeding collections, and other clerical duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent required. 60 hours of undergraduate coursework or Associate’s degree is preferred as is previous library experience, but these are not required.

TITLE: Morning Custodian

WORK SCHEDULE: Hourly position as needed, not to exceed 20 hours per week.  1st shift employees will start no later than 6 am

SUMMARY: : Morning Custodians will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining assigned areas of the library. This can entail sweeping floors, shampooing carpet,  mopping, collecting trash, washing windows, dusting bookshelves, watering plants, and sanitizing restrooms. Also, assisting in keeping the outdoor premises in a orderly condition, including shoveling and salting the areas around staff entrances. Additionally, any other duties as assigned by the Facilities Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous facilities work is preferred, but these are not required.
