Cathy Morris Will Electrify Concert Series

The Friends of the Frankfort Library presents their 2nd concert of the 2018-2019 series on January 19 at 7:30 p.m. The Elizabeth O’Rear Skanta Theatre is excited to host Cathy Morris. Tickets are $13 and can be purchased at the circulation desk with cash, check or credit card. Tickets may also be reserved over the phone with a credit card.

Cathy Morris is an electric violinist and vocalist. Her electric violins and “party jazz” sound is an eclectic blend of musical adventures exploring all corners, and leaving no door unopened.

Cathy is a musical ambassador. As a musical ambassador she has performed for world leaders and dignitaries including Mikail Gorbachev, the Prince and Princess of Serbia, President Bill Clinton, Senator Hillary Clinton, First Lady Laura Bush and the Japanese Ambassador Kenichiro Sasae among others.

She is and educator. As an educator it's her unending commitment to children that puts her in front of and collaborating with literally thousands of students each year performing convocations, conducting workshops and performing her original music in side by side concerts with student orchestras.

Cathy Morris is also a recording artist, composer/arranger, and producer. As a composer/arranger you can find Cathy's original music for string and full orchestra published by FJH Music, Inc. In addition is her catalog of over one hundred other works for strings orchestra, quartets, trios, duos and solo violin, violin solo with orchestra and jazz band of original works as well as Holiday, Sacred, Pop and Wedding genres. As a producer to her credit in addition to numerous recordings, presentations and philanthropic projects is Arts With A Purpose: Connecting Communities to Artist to create positive individual and social change
