The Friends of the Frankfort Community Public Library announced the return of Julie Baumann, who is set to lead the summer production of Annie JR. Performance dates for the musical are Thurs., Fri., and Sat., June 23-25. Also offered, is a free workshop designed to prepare students for auditions.
The audition workshop on Sun., March 27 is from 2:00-3:30 p.m. At this program, youth can expect to learn how to prepare for auditions, what the director is looking for, and how the process of the audition will work. Participants also have the opportunity to audition that day. The workshop is free and open to youth ages 5-18. Interested parties may register here or simply show up the day the day of the event. Each actor may bring one adult to stay if desired, but adults are not required to attend for ages 12-up.
Julie Baumann is the founder of Clinton County Youth Theatre and led many productions dating as far back as 2005. Of her return Baumann states, “Being able direct CCYT’s summer production of Annie Jr. feels like homecoming! Annie Jr. is one of my all-time favorite productions, and coming back home to Frankfort is an added bonus. Many of my favorite memories have been made in Skanta Theatre. I am looking forward to making more!”. Baumann brings an exceptional level of experience and knowledge of theatre and performance to the role of youth theatre supervisor. She currently serves as the director of education and outreach for the Civic Theatre of Lafayette. We are thrilled at her return to CCYT.
Audition dates for Annie Jr. are Sat. and Sun., April 2 and 3 and performance dates are Thurs., Fri., and Sat., June 23-25.
