The 2019-2020 Friends of the Frankfort Library Concert Series will feature 4 concerts Season tickets are $40 and individual tickets are $13 a piece. Series tickets go on sale October 21, $40 for four tickets. Tickets can be reserved over the phone with a credit card by calling the library at 765-654-8746. You may also purchase them at the Frankfort Library Circulation desk with a check, cash or credit card.
We are currently looking for sponsors for the 2019-2020 Friends of the Frankfort Library Concert Series. Individuals are welcomed to donate. Saturday, November 9 at 2 p.m.: Friction Farm
This concert featuring Friction Farm will take place during the Friends of the Library 39th Annual Fine Art Exhibition & Sale. Modern-folk duo Friction Farm is a husband and wife team from Greenville, South Carolina. Aidan Quinn and Christine Stay combine storytelling, social commentary and humor to create songs of everyday life, local heroes, and quirky observations. Saturday, January 18 at 7:30 p.m.: Kennedy’s Kitchen
Their music is rooted in traditional Irish Music, jigs, reels, hornpipes, recitations, stories, and songs…..adding their own compositions along the way. Listen to Kennedy’s Kitchen here.
Saturday, March 7 at 7:30 p.m.: Lafayette Symphony Orchestra Brass Band
The idea for the Lafayette Symphony Orchestra was hatched in 1949 and in the 70 years since the inception of the Orchestra, the organization has grown immensely. Their home is the Long Center for Performing Arts in Lafayette, IN.
Saturday, May 9: Mickey James and the Queen City Crew
The 6-piece Queen City Crew is based out of Cincinnati, Ohio. They will provide the perfect combination of Classic and Contemporary Swing, Jazz, R&B, Blues, Rock & Roll, and many other styles. Listen to Mickey James and the Queen City Crew here.
Jason Wells Band to Play in Skanta Theatre
Saturday, January 25th at 7:30 p.m.
The Jason Wells Band will be performing in 2020 on the Skanta stage. Tickets will go on sale starting November 25th, they will be general admission and will sell for $10 each. You may purchase your tickets at the Library Circulation Desk with a credit card, check or cash. You may also purchase tickets over the phone with a credit card. Make checks out to the Friends of the Frankfort Library. Call the library at 765-654-8746 for more information. This concert is not a part of the Friends of the Library concert series.
