Mark your calendars for December 5 as the library hosts FOX 59 morning anchor and former Frankfort resident Lindy Thackston as the next Hoosier Storyteller. Michael Clossin will be “turning the tables” as he interviews Lindy about her fantastic career, recent cancer battles, and time in Frankfort. This free program will be held in the Skanta Theatre at 6 p.m. on the Upper Level of the Frankfort Community Public Library.
Lindy anchors the FOX 59 Morning Show in Indianapolis from 4–7 a.m. and is thrilled to be back at work after a tough cancer battle. After spending her early years in Kirklin, moving to Frankfort in second grade, and graduating from Purdue University, Lindy wanted to return to her Hoosier roots. Lindy has anchored at stations in Indiana, Illinois, and Florida and traveled nationwide as a pit reporter and pre-race host for the IndyCar Series for several years. She also did TV college football sidelines, entertainment reporting for TV Guide Network, and radio reporting for sports car racing. Lindy spent many recent years as an emcee for the Indiana Pacers and public address announcer at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. You can listen to more of Lindy’s inspiring story in person by attending this live event. If you cannot participate in person, you don’t have to miss out because the library plans to record the event and archive it on its website: myfcpl.org/online/podcasts/hoosier_storytellers.
