Did you know that the Frankfort Library hosts three to four live concerts a year in the Skanta Theatre? The Friends Concert Series is an annual event and we are excited to host a string performance on Saturday, May 14, 2022. Harpist Anna Stern and and Cellist Sara Wollan will perform Celtic tunes with classical themes on the Skanta stage. Sara Wollan is from West Lafayette and performed abroad for years before returning to her hometown where she presently teaches a full studio of private students and plays concerts frequently. Andrea Stern has performed with Chamber Ensembles and Orchestras in the United States and abroad. Her concerts and educational programs orient the audience to the wonders of the concert and Celtic harp. You can learn more about Andrea Stern by visiting her website, andreastern.net.
Tickets are $12 each and can be purchased in person at the library or over the phone with a credit card (765) 654-8746. Be sure to bring a friend or invite your neighbor to enjoy a melodic string performance at the library. We hope to see you there!

While you are in the Library, be sure to browse the Anna & Harlan Hubbard Gallery and enjoy our current exhibit, “A Walk in Our Parks.” This is an informative historical exhibit, courtesy of the National Archives, Indiana Department of Natural Resources, and the Indiana Historical Society. Vintage photo prints, including current works by local artist, Cherri Flora, will be available for purchase. Cherri has visited 38 of our 63 national parks, and her photographs are exquisite!
