Beginning tonight, Skanta Theatre is transformed into a land of magic and wonder as the Clinton County Youth Theatre opens their production of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe which is based on the classic novel by C.S. Lewis.
This is the story of four youth, Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy), visiting a reclusive professor to escape the air raids in London. Wondering into a mysterious wardrobe, the children are transported to another world, the Land of Narnia. The mystical creatures there are oppressed by the cruel White Witch who fears the children, because of prophecy that they will end her reign of power. Portraying Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy this weekend are Luke Hodge, Stephanie Lynch, Jayden Sallee, and Colleen Elliott.
The production features a beautiful rotating set that includes a wardrobe though which the children traverse to Narnia.

Narnia is brought to life with foliage and talented young actors portraying many mystical creatures.
