West Lafayette-based watercolor artist Rebecca Brody will have her solo exhibition, Transparency, open in the Anna & Harlan Hubbard Gallery beginning Monday, January 8. The exhibition will run through Friday, February 16. A reception is scheduled for Saturday, January 20, 1–4 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.
Brody has been working with watercolors for more than 20 years since ending her commercial art business to care for her parents. Over the years, she has honed her skills by experimenting with transparent watercolors and watercolor pencils on various papers and surfaces.
During the January 20 reception, Brody will be hosting a 2-hour watercolor workshop from 1:30–3:30 p.m. in the art studio connected to the gallery. The workshop is designed for beginners, but experienced painters are welcome. Students can expect to learn about materials and basic watercolor techniques. Supplies will be provided, but feel free to bring your own if you prefer. This workshop is limited to 20 seats, so register at myfcpl.org/events-classes to guarantee a spot.
Please email Lori Brubaker, Arts and Education Coordinator, at email@example.com with any questions regarding the exhibition or workshop.
